Hi! I'm David. I'm a junior currently studying CS at Carnegie Mellon who's interested in computer systems and functional programming!
I especially like databases.

I'm currently looking for an internship for the summer of 2026!
I just got back from working at Neon (now Databricks) this past summer where I worked on making the caching layer both resizable and more performant.

I love computer systems and am happy wherever there's performance constraints or interesting challenges! I've been trying to take as many systems classes as possible at CMU and so far I've taken Distributed Systems, Database Systems, Compiler Design, Special Topics in DBs: Query Optimization, and Computer Networks.

Some things I've built in my free time (in loose chronological order) include an OSX kernel extension, lock-free data structures, an ML framework, a multiplayer exchange simulator, a custom HTTP server, this website, and more!
